Often I feel I'm the the hardest working freelance photographer in Austin, and Central Texas. It's because I'm working hardest for my clients, their projects, and customers. Making great work for my clients is a passion to me.
My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic around the age of six. Ever since then I have been an avid photographer. My creative talents didn't stop at photography as I've been involved in theater, lighting, audio and broadcast radio over the years. I've even been a corporate computer geek involved in mainframes, Macs and PCs. My experience in high-tech and media led me to complete my MBA in the 1990's, while my love of the arts and photography was formalized with a MFA . I've been successful in business and the arts.
Like many artisans, the passion for the medium eventually turned into a business: creating the best images possible for my customers. Over more than 10 years I've picked up a number of interesting assignments from a broad variety of clients. For 5 years I was the top freelancer at the Austin American-Statesman who published thousands of my photographs. Later, I created and built-up the photo section and was Photo Editor at a major entertainment site.
Today, much of my editorial work is seen by readers of Community Impact News. With 1.5 million in distribution, Community Impact Newspaper reaches more people than any other publication in Texas. They are a fine client!
